Subject Tutoring
From Spanish to U.S. History to Biology, Tutoring Service of New York offers support for a wide variety of academic subjects and AP exams, and have experience working with students of all ages. Need help with pre-algebra? AP Chem? IB Literature? We’ve got you covered. If none of our tutors fit your needs, we will happily assist you in finding a quality tutor who does.
Math and Science
We offer tutoring in elementary and middle school math, geometry, pre-calculus, AP Calculus AB and BC, and IB Calculus. We also offer tutoring in elementary and middle school science, biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, and the corresponding AP and IB exams for each subject.
Literature and Writing
TSNY approaches reading and writing holistically, emphasizing habits and methods that help students across disciplines. We work with elementary school students on their reading comprehension, middle school students with their essay writing, and high school students with their literary analysis, especially for the AP and IB exams. Beyond academic writing, we also offer support for creative writing .
History and Social STudies
From elementary level social studies to AP World History, our tutors can help students learn the methods of writing and study necessary to achieving their best. We offer tutoring to students of all levels, and have experience with the SAT, AP, and IB exams in U.S. History, European History, and World History.
Foreign Language
Our tutors offer support for Latin, Spanish, and French from elementary to AP level. TSNY also offers the opportunity to connect with Spanish conversation partners in Spain and Argentina for students looking to hone their skills outside of academic settings.
